Clear Answers To Common Concerns
A Professional Postpartum Care Provider (PPCP) is a trained specialist focused on the “Fourth Trimester.” Unlike general domestic help, our consultants are trained in clinical-adjacent recovery, neonatal vital monitoring, and breastfeeding support. We do not perform general household cleaning or laundry; our entire focus is on the physical recovery of the mother and the safe transition of the newborn.
PLEASE NOTE: A PPCP does NOT make medical decisions, but we are trained to recognize the “Red Flags.” Our role is to know the difference between a normal recovery and a situation that requires your Midwife, Gynae, or Clinic. We implement appropriate hygienic practices and use Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) skills to promote natural healing
Our core mission is to empower parents during the day to find their own rhythm and recovery. However, we understand that sleep is the ultimate pillar of healing. As a specialized add-on service, we do provide Professional Night Nanny placements. This service ensures that while you rest, a vetted professional manages overnight feeds, soothing, and monitoring, allowing you to wake up recharged for your daytime transition.
Absolutely. We offer a Targeted 3-Hour Consultation for R1,900. This is designed as a “professional reset” for the mother who is facing a specific challenge—such as a breastfeeding hurdle, nursery flow issues, or a sudden dip in confidence—and needs an expert to step in and stabilize the environment without the commitment of a multi-day package
We believe nutrition is the foundation of postpartum healing, which is why active, light meal preparation is included exclusively as part of our “Complete Bliss Experience” package. For all other packages, including our Settling-In Essentials, we provide our signature Impande Nutritional Meal Planning Guide. This expert-curated guide is designed to take the guesswork out of recovery, offering a roadmap of high-vibrancy, lactation-supporting meals that your family or domestic staff can easily prepare, ensuring you are fueled for the journey ahead. Please note meal preps are specifically for the mother not the whole family.Impande Postpartum Care is a private, boutique specialist service and we do not settle accounts directly with medical aids. While some restrictive savings plans may allow for manual reimbursement under “confinement” or “home care” benefits, we provide a direct professional invoice for all our services. We recommend checking with your specific provider regarding their policy on non-clinical postnatal support prior to your commencement date.

To ensure a seamless and transparent experience, all our professional fees include travel for residences located within a 20km radius of our Sandton hub. This covers most of our clients in the greater Sandton and surrounding Northern Suburbs.
For our clients residing in premier estates beyond this 20km radius—such as those in Midstream, Eye of Africa, or Hartbeespoort—a travel surcharge (R150 – R350 per session) is applied. This allows us to maintain our high standard of punctuality and care regardless of your location. We will provide a precise travel quote as part of your initial Antenatal Consultation
