The Impande Philosophy is rooted in the Zulu word for "Root," reflecting our core belief that for a family to flourish, the mother; the foundation and root, must be deeply nourished and sustained. We move away from the idea of "just helping with the baby" and instead focus on Mothering the Mother, ensuring that your physical recovery, nutritional needs, and emotional transition are prioritized during the sacred "Fourth Trimester."
You've likely heard about birth doulas & midwives, but who looks after the mother once the hospital doors close? At Impande, we are Professional Postpartum Care Providers (PPCP). We are here to oversee your healing and your baby's development.

PLEASE NOTE: A PPCP does NOT make medical decisions, but we are trained to recognize the “Red Flags.” Our role is to know the difference between a normal recovery and a situation that requires your Midwife, Gynae, or Clinic. We implement appropriate hygienic practices (masks and blue gloves) and use Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) skills to promote natural healing.

Impande opened its doors with a mission, to fill the six-week gap between hospital discharge and the first postnatal follow-up, with care that mothers deserve.

We deepened our offering - introducing specialist add-on services including postnatal massage, night nanny support, and our structured Sanctuary Plan framework.
